Welcome to a new veg box scheme for Mid Ulster – The Veg Collective
The Veg Collective is a group of local growers who have come together to share our homegrown, healthy produce with others. We are proud to offer a weekly seasonal veg box that is freshly picked by our growers and sorted on the same day at AJ’s Farm Shop.
Our Local Growers
At The Veg Collective, we have a close-knit community of growers who live and work within 15 miles of each other. Our growers include Rock Farm, Creeve Cottage, and AJ’s Farmshop. Each grower brings their unique expertise and passion for sustainable farming to our collective.
What’s in the Box?
As growers, we work in harmony with nature, which means our selection of produce is subject to seasonal change. However, in a typical summer box, you can expect to find a delicious assortment of fresh vegetables. This includes 2kg of potatoes, 1 punnet of tender cherry tomatoes, 1 bunch of onions or shallots, 1 cucumber or courgette, 1 bunch of carrots, and 1 pot-plant herb.
How to Get Your Veg Box
Getting your hands on our weekly veg box is easy. Simply head to AJ’s Farm Shop, located at 3 Moss Road, Ballymaguigan, Magherafelt. You can collect your box from Friday 11am to Saturday 4pm. We also have other local collection points available for your convenience.
