Welcome to The Veg Collective, a group of local growers who are passionate about providing fresh and healthy produce to our community. We are a close-knit community of farmers, living and working within a 15-mile radius of each other. Our mission is to share our homegrown produce with others, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the taste and benefits of locally-sourced vegetables.
Meet The Veg Collective Growers
At The Veg Collective, we have teamed up with three fantastic growers:
- Rock Farm: Located in the heart of our community, Rock Farm is known for its high-quality potatoes and other root vegetables.
- Creeve Cottage: Situated amidst picturesque countryside, Creeve Cottage specializes in tender cherry tomatoes and a variety of herbs.
- AJ’s Farmshop: Our sorting and distribution hub, AJ’s Farmshop ensures that all our produce is freshly picked, sorted, and ready for collection.
Experience the Seasonal Delights
As growers, we work hand in hand with nature, which means that our selection of produce is subject to seasonal changes. Each week, we curate a delightful seasonal veg box that showcases the best of what our growers have to offer.
During the summer months, our veg box typically includes:
- 2kg of flavorful potatoes
- A punnet of tender cherry tomatoes
- A bunch of onions or shallots
- A refreshing cucumber or courgette
- Kale or cabbage
- A bunch of crunchy carrots
- A potted herb plant to add a burst of flavour to your dishes
These carefully selected vegetables are harvested on the same day and sorted at AJ’s Farmshop, ensuring that you receive the freshest produce possible.
Convenient Collection Points
Collecting your veg box is easy and convenient. You can pick up your box from AJ’s Farmshop, located at 3 Moss Road, Ballymaguigan, Magherafelt. We offer collection from Friday 11am to Saturday 4pm, giving you plenty of time to swing by and grab your fresh produce.
